PTI MIM

I don't usually go on and on about a new technique, but this was seriously COOL! The PTI MIM challenge this week was about creating a background with baby wipes. I only have three reinkers... blue, green and tan. It was super easy to make a nice diagonally stripped background as a backdrop for a simple Father's Day card.

Reverse Confetti Monthly Challenge

I got this Reverse Confetti Paper Crane stamp set on Sale on their website here. What got me was the GREAT sentiments that came with this set, and the adorable crane. Here is a simple card that I made up for the Reverse Confetti May Sketch Challenge.

Each multi-colored bird is made of four stamped images, watercolored, cut apart and reassembled. I thought that the text running in multiple directions would add to the origami effect.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your week!

PTI MIM

Happy Sunday, blogging friends!
Here is my card for the PTI Make it Monday challenge (nothing like coming in just under the wire). I had this started fairly early, but it's been a super busy week at work... you know how it is sometimes...

I used watercolor paper instead of regular cardstock and what a difference it makes when doing a watercolor wash! I like how the metallic copper and blue came together. My dad had a VW Bug, so of course the car is stamped in his bug's color (aqua).
Here are the PTI products that I used:

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Reverse Confetti Monthly Challenge

The only set that I have from Reverse Confetti is the Clink stamp set and matching dies, but I really like it! It's so different than anything else that I've seen out there. Here is a 4.24 x 4.25 card that I made up for the Reverse Confetti April Sketch Challenge.

PTI April Release

I LOVED the look of the card posted by Nicole Heady on the first day of the PTI April Release. I've been thinking of using the Papertrey Ink - Cutaway Tags: Spring Die without coloring it, but couldn't figure out how to pull it off. Trust Nicole to have the perfect ideas! She has inspired me to make this:

PTI Celebrating the Past, Present and Future

It's been a long time since I've played along with a blog challenge. I couldn't resist the fun card from Kim... and I could definitely use more guy cards :oD
