Doesn't that sound like the opening line from a really bad novel? Well, it's the story of our weekend. The TV has sound, and it also has picture... most of the time anyway. I said that we are not allowed to get a new TV until we get a TV stand.
Here is what we had before. The TV is sitting on a large sheet of plywood because it is too big for the TV stand.
My dream is to have a TV that actually fits on the stand. So, after a trip to IKEA, and putting the two kids to work...
We have this!
Clean, classy and the TV FITS! YAY!
Jena and Buddy are getting along great. I wish I had taken some pics of them in the rain. They were having a blast playing in the mud and water... then they both got a bath. They sure needed it.
They are getting closer and closer to cuddling together. But, mom, the blue fuzzy snake is now squeaker-less.
Cheryl has been practicing on the Uke, and she's getting good!
The Uke class is over, now we are taking wine tasting together :oD It's a good thing that Chris has class the same time at Saddleback College so he can drive us home... the teacher gives us much more than a taste. After "tasting" six different wines there was more than one drunk person in that classroom, haha!
That's it for our house! Have a great week!

Layout Share...
Believe it or not, I did a layout! I just adore the pics that my kids took for Valentine's Day. I just had to scrap them!
I created the hearts by free cutting them from burlap. The hexagons are scraps left over from a lattice die cut. The heart frame and frame background are all a single layer that I created and printed out from photoshop.
I'm entering this in the challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking.

Uncle Buddy Comes to Town.
My mom and dad's baby, Buddy, is here for a visit. Don't worry Mom, he's not in jail. He's been a good little guy since he's been here... He's only eaten one squeaker :oD
We hope you are having a good time. Say Hi to grandma for us!

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday and Congratulations
It's a busy time of year for the Kurihara/Moore family with lots to celebrate! On our way! Hmmm... is there one too many kids back there?
That calls for a family lunch at Buca di Beppo!
Five Birthdays and a Graduation!
Time to blow out the candles!
Jim's really getting into it!
Thanks for joining us in our celebrations!
We hope you all had a FUN-Filled weekend!

The first Christmas Tag of the Year!
The last few years I've tried to make one Christmas tag each month. That leaves me with 12 nice tags come Christmas time... This year I got a late start and am already one tag short. But better late than never... here's my first tag of the year:
I picked a bird out of the Birdy Up stamp by Kira Nicols as my focal image. I'm not sure that it's an owl, but it sure is a cutie!
I'm entering this envie in the Stampotique Heart in your Art Designer Challenge.

New Camera
I got a new camera... Panasonic of course ;oD It's small, so it fits in my running shorts pocket. It's light, so it doesn't pull my shorts down. It takes good night pics without a flash AND it has a really COOL panoramic mode. Check this out!
Hold the button down and pan the camera around to capture the picture... no having to piece the picture together later, no seams, no having the panorama cut short. I LOVE it!
My friend, Mary asked me to take pictures of the inside of the trailer, so she could see it. Jim just redid it. He has the option now of leaving the bed down in a twin size while still have seating for two at the table. I've been busy sewing covers for 9 new cushions for the last 3 weeks. He gave it a test drive this week at the desert and said that it worked great. Of course, if we both go, we'll still have to take the table all the way down to setup the bed, queen size.
So, using my new, very COOL panoramic mode, here is the view inside standing in the door way:
Here is a view from the other side of the trailer looking back to the door:
I had a little extra time after finishing the cushions to take an old t-shirt of Cheryl's and turn it into a t-shirt for Jena-girl. Our neighbor always said that she looks like a hippie... so here she is, our hippie-girl:
While camping, she wears her shirt and curls up into her blanket at night, and she's toasty warm :oD
I hope that everyone is having a WONDERFUL weekend!

Feb. Card Kit - part I
This card kit from Beth this month was WONDERFUL!!! Since I'm entering my cards in so many different challenges, I'm splitting my card kit reveal up into 4 posts.
This is my first project and the one that I had in mind when I first looked at the card kit. It is a gift box and tag for my niece's birthday:
No challenges for this one. It's just pretty packaging for my niece. She and her friends thought it was pretty, so that is better than a challenge win :oD
Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out my next three posts for other kit projects!

Feb. Card Kit - part III
Here is another card using the Scrappin' Mojo February card kit from Beth.
This is a birthday card using the card kit and a cute digital image from Dilly Beans called Amalia's Heart. I designed the card and Cheryl put it together, since I was so busy working on the trailer cushions. She did a GREAT job and I really LOVE how it came out!
I'm going to enter this in the Dilly Beans Hearts and Love challenge.
