Project Life Marathon Training - Week 10
I can't believe that it's April already! WEEK 10!!! The marathon will be here in just two short months...
This week's card is a picture of my kids running under the 5 fwy. I left the picture with the saying this time because I think it's a good generic picture. To get the free card this week, click on the image below!

I had a vision for one more card from Mary's March card kit. I finally finished the card that was in my mind. I LOVE when it comes out just like I envisioned it!

Project Life Marathon Training - Week 8 & 9
Here is week 8! Cheryl spent her week studying. Chris and I tried to find a half-marathon race, but there were no races in our area. We ended up running 13.1 miles at Aliso South.
It's week 9, and we are half-way through the training plan! YAHOO!!!
And here is this week's free filler card. Click on the image below to get your card:

What a WEEK!!!
The boys are gone this week to Costa Rica. So, what's a girl to do?
SUNDAY : We cheered Galaxy to a tie with Chivas.
MONDAY: We cheered Noah's team to a win over Mission Viejo.
TUESDAY: We went to Hollywood to see "Catch Me if You Can."
WEDNESDAY: Girls just want to have FUN! Cheryl went to school for her last final. After she got home, we went to Ladies Night at Road Runner Sports and had a "Breaking Dawn" part 1 and part 2 marathon.
THURSDAY: Running, paddle boarding, shopping, and to see "OZ."
FRIDAY: We went to La Jolla to kayak the sea caves. No sea caves today because of the overhead surf and 11 mph winds. We also managed to roll our kayak during the beach landing. At least it wasn't just us... everyone rolled their kayak, along with one of the guides. After we dried off and stopped shivering, we went into San Diego and spent the afternoon at the museums in Balboa Park.
SATURDAY: We were invited to play in a coed 6v6 soccer tournament. Yes, BOTH of us, and I'm happy to say that I was not the worse player there! Our team, "Accurate," tied one and lost 2. We didn't not make it to the play-offs, but I got free soccer cleats, and had a lot of fun.... I really miss taking soccer pictures...
And we had another Galaxy game to go to. This time Galaxy WON, YAHOO!!!
SUNDAY: We are so sore from soccer yesteray, but we don't need legs for paddle boarding! Now that we are such experts, it's time to try our luck in Newport Harbor. I admit that I fell off the board. My shoe was sitting on the board, and I hit it accidentally with the paddle. I tried to save it before it floated off and tipped the board. Yep, swimming in Newport Harbor... YUCK! It was a beautiful morning!
Now, a nap is in order before we go pickup the boys at the airport after midnight.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at the pictures of our busy week!

It's Card Kit Time!!!
We have a card kit club name now... about time since it's been over a year, lol! I made the blinkie above. It's simple, but it makes us official now. Welcome to Club Mojo 2013! We have 10 ladies in the club this year... 10!!! These are all wonderful ladies who I've had the good fortune to meet at Scrappin' Mojo. Wait until you see all the talent and inspiration!
It's time for our Club reveal. This month's kit was put together by Mary! Wow! I love the colors in this kit. It makes me think of rainy spring mornings:
Here are the cards that I created:
In this card, I used what grabbed my attention first: the die cut umbrella. I love using die cuts:
The blue colors worked great for this frosty tag that I made for my challenge over at Scrappin' Mojo:
This last card is plain and simple. I used the wood umbrella, the great trims, and cute stamp from the kit.
That's it for me this month! Be sure to checkout the creations from the other ladies:

Project Life Marathon Training - Week 7

Twenty
My baby is 20 today. Two-zero. 4 times 5. One-fifth of 100. No more teenagers at our house. Part of me wants to say, "How did this happen?" even though I know exactly how it happened: this is what life does, it just keeps moving forward.
He won't always sleep across the hall from me. He won't always need me to wash and fold his clothes, make him egg-over-rice for breakfast and buy him Cinnamon Toast Crunch at the market. And he won't always need or want my opinions and advice.
Happy birthday, Christopher James. Part of me misses my little boy Boo, and part of me is very proud of the man you are becoming.
I love you more than chocolate (even though I did insist on chocolate cake for today).
Love, Mom.

Project Life Marathon Training - Week 6
I'm kind of late on posting week 6's page, because I'm not 100% happy with the filler card for this week, but we're still keeping up with the training... and I'm still keeping up with documenting our road to a marathon:

March Showers
It's a rainy day today... just the perfect day for crafting.
My friend Mary is the guest designer over at the Quirky Crafts challenge blog. The current challenge is to Make a Quirky Mess... make your own background paper.
I could not resist this challenge because ONE, Mary is my bestest friend. And TWO, I love making a mess with paints :0D
Here is my card:
I made the background with layers of acrylic paint... the "flag" is actually strips of washi tape... add a cute die cut from MFT and I've got a cute card to cheer someones day.
Thanks for stopping by!
